Rebecca Robinson: Biography

Having graduated from Cambridge in 1999 , Rebecca began her clinical career working in mixed practice on the farms of the beautiful Peak District, emulating one of her heroes, James Herriott.

Following the Foot and Mouth outbreak of 2001, Rebecca focused on small animals, developing her interests in veterinary medicine and dentistry. She observed first-hand the impact of good and not-so-good leadership, and these experiences inspired her to return to academia to formally study vet practice management and leadership.

While holding the position of Practice Director in 2016, Rebecca built an efficient leadership team and transformed the culture, significantly improving all aspects of the practice and its team. At the same time, in partnership with Vet Dynamics, Rebecca helped to create
a successful CPD course, teaching mindset, resilience, communication, and emotional intelligence alongside veterinary business fundamentals.

She has been featured in several well-known industry publications and delivered talks at major events such as BSAVA Congress and the Vet Dynamics Conference. She is also an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner with the Coaching Academy.

Spurred on to make even more of a difference in her field, she joined the Board of Directors of the VMG (Veterinary Management Group) in 2023, where she holds the role of Junior Vice President.

Rebecca left practice in October 2023 and now works as a Business Consultant with Vet Dynamics to concentrate on helping independent practice owners and managers develop high-performing, happy, and healthy workplaces. She loves seeing her clients enjoy a better quality of life in practice, leading with compassion and confidence.

In Rebecca's spare time - and between dog walks - she loves cooking and entertaining and plays the saxophone for two bands
